报告摘要:In this talk, a nonlocal reaction-diffusion equation modeling the growth of phytoplankton species with changing-sign advection in a vertical water column is investigated, where the species depends solely on light for its metabolism.  Firstly, we study the threshold-type dynamics of the population by critical death rate. Secondly, we examine the concentration phenomenon with large advection amplitude and small diffusion in two case: (i) the advection function $h(x)$ changes sign only once from positive to negative in water column $[0,1]$. We find that the phytoplankton will concentrate at certain critical point with large advection amplitude and small diffusion; (ii) the advection function $h(x)<0$ in $[0,\kappa)$ with $\int^{x}_{0}\frac{h(s)}{a(s)}\mathrm{d}s<0$ for all $x\in(0,1]$, the phytoplankton will concentrate at the surface of water column with large advection amplitude and small diffusion. We also investigate the limiting distribution of phytoplankton as diffusion rate $D\rightarrow+\infty$, the phytoplankton tends to even distribution in water column.

报告人简介:王智诚,兰州大学数学与统计学院教授,博士生导师。1994年本科毕业于西北师范大学,2007年在兰州大学获理学博士学位。主要成果发表在Trans. AMSArch. Rational Mech. Anal.SIAM J. Math. Anal.SIAM J. Appl. Math.JMPACalc. Var. PDEJDENonlinearity等杂志上。2010年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划,20112019年分别获得甘肃省自然科学二等奖,2016年入选甘肃省飞天学者特聘教授,主持或参加完成多项国家自然科学基金面上项目和重点项目,正在主持一项甘肃省基础研究创新群体项目和一项国家自然科学基金面上项目。目前担任International  J.  Bifurc. Chaos 等杂志的编委(Associate editor)。
